Cheadle Remembers the Great War

In 2014/15, Cheadle like many towns and villages across the country commemorated its involvement in the Great War.

Our society was involved with extensive research into the men and women who served in the war – both those who died and those who survived and returned home.

In association with the Cheadle Discovery Group and the Royal British Legion (Cheadle Branch), we were able to list as many names as possible in a commemorative booklet, but inevitably some names were missed – so it was decided that any names put forward after printing would be listed on this website.

Please note, this section of the site is likely to be a constant work in progress!
